Now if only its price tag would shrink a little ($135 for a beanie - even an awesome beanie - is a tad bit high for me), this would make a pretty awesome gift for a certain brother-in-law who has a thing for funky head-wear...and for sporting a beard.

That looks knitted. My sister that you know knits stuff like that for much less. Although I'm not sure how good you are at convincing her of things, seeing as she never went out with Grant Schreck 9 times like you wanted.
Again, I'm sorry for disappointing you with the whole Grant thing...it just wasn't jiving with me. That beany is sweet. I'd love to figure out how to make that. I think that could make a lot of people happy.
you know the funny thing is, if you were talking bout hud, i could totally see him sporting this.
I want to learn to knit just so I can make a ton of these.
