You know the cliche: a picture is worth a thousand words.
But sometimes they just leave you speechless.

--Ken Brady, his father, and three of his four brothers--
Like now. I have no words for this. Just strong emotions too deep to articulate. If you haven't, please take time to check out Amelia's tribute to her (and Kenny's) dad (click here). The black & white photos at the end are especially moving.

Particularly this one.
--Ken and Kenny: Father and Son--

Thank you, Amelia, for saving this moment.

Those really are amazing photos. When I read amelias blog and saw the picture of kenny and his dad it really made me cry and filled me with so much emotion. I just love your husband and think he is so great! I can't imagine what he must have been going through but I am glad he could be there for all that time. Your a good wife too for being so understanding.

"Moving" is the way to describe Amelia's post. I dare anyone to looks at those pictures and not cry.

I am so glad Ethan and I went to the funeral. I learned so much about Ken and what a good man he was. And in turn, Kenny is a good man. His tribute to his dad was perfect, appropriate and respectful. I hope Kenny is okay as he tries to cope with the loss of his dad. Carol passed away over 20 years ago and Ethan still feels the loss of his mother very deeply. I guess the sting never goes away.

Ditto and ditto. I couldn't have said it better.

So I first started crying just looking at these two photos on your blog. THEN I went over to Amelia's blog and now I am weepy and snotty and a mess. I really am so sorry for your loss. That sentence sounds so generic but I don't really know what else to say. Just that I really admire the love that was clearly so strong between Kenny and his father. So touching. Sorry, I don't mean to be all weird and intrusive but I just feel so much for you guys right now.

Wow, you are right. Amelia's tribute is perfect. It's great to see the relationship their father had with his children. Some of us wish we had fathers and relationships like that. And Kenny is a wonderful son for all he did. Our thoughts are with you all!
